Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) Faculty Members Visit Boğaziçi University Faculty of Law

Boğaziçi University School of Law was delighted to host a distinguished delegation from the Faculty of Syariah and Law of the Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM) on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, for an enriching academic visit. Together, the two faculties engaged in lively and substantive discussions, exchanging ideas on law, scholarship, and legal education in an international context.

Malaysian colleagues Dr. Dina Imam Supaat, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hendun Abd Rahman Shah, and Professor Madya Dr. Noor Dzuhaidah Osman were welcomed by Vice Dean Dr. Hasan Basri Bülbül and faculty members Dr. Muzaffer Eroğlu and Dr. Ayşe Didem Sezgin.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to explore avenues for future collaboration, including potential research partnerships, student and faculty exchanges, and the development of joint academic projects. In the course of the meeting, BU Law faculty were also introduced to the Malaysian Journal of Syariah and Law (MJSL), a Scopus-indexed journal published by USIM’s Faculty of Syariah and Law, which serves as a respected platform for advancing scholarship in Islamic and comparative legal studies.

This academic exchange not only strengthened institutional ties but also reaffirmed the shared commitment of both faculties to advancing cross-border dialogue and cooperation in the field of law.
