Our Faculty

Boğaziçi University is one of the leading higher education institutions in our country with a history of more than one hundred and fifty years. Boğaziçi University was included in the Turkish higher education system on September 10, 1971, and since then, the University has been expanded with new academic units.

Faculty of Law was established in accordance with the Presidential Decree No 3519, which was published in the Official Gazette dated February 6, 2021, pursuant to the Additional Article 30 of the Higher Education Institutions Law numbered 2809. Thus, Boğaziçi University, which is one of the oldest higher education institutions in our country, has a Faculty of Law like other well-established universities.

Our main goal is to bring the new generations of legal professionals who will build the future of society as research-oriented and questioning ones with a sense of responsibility, ethical values, and analytical skills. For this purpose, we will provide a legal education that places the principles of democracy, the rule of law, and the universal principles of law at the centre.
