Mission
At Boğaziçi University Faculty of Law, we aim to provide a legal education that can respond to the ever-changing needs of society, adapt to global developments, and most importantly, embrace the understanding of justice as its basic principle. That said, we aim to take legal education to the highest level by adopting a dynamic, interdisciplinary, and comparative education approach, making use of other disciplines and legal systems.
It will be our main priority to nurture the new generations of lawyers as professionals who will build the future of the society, equipped with a sense of responsibility, embracing ethical values, research-oriented, questioning existing ideas, and having developed analysis-synthesis skills. For this purpose, we will pursue a legal education with an understanding that aims to grasp the universal principles of law in its best light and places the principles of democracy and the rule of law at the very centre. With this in mind, we will act with an educational approach that promotes the fundamental rights such as human rights, women's rights, children's rights, animal rights, environmental protection, and sustainability.
In today's world, where the relations between legal subjects are not only governed by national but also transnational, supranational, or international legal systems, it is our priority to train lawyers who can understand those multi-layered legal systems and relations, and are equipped to operate within these systems. Accordingly, the examination of regionally or internationally developed legal systems and legal instruments in both public and private law fields will also be included in the curriculum of the Faculty of Law. In this way, we aim to train lawyers who can compete not only nationally but also internationally.
On the other hand, in Istanbul, which is at the heart of the Turkish economy, it is a necessity to have lawyers who has the potential to make a difference by producing innovative legal solutions to the problems of financial markets and the real economy. Hence, one of our main goals will be to diversify the talents that Boğaziçi University brings to the business world and to train lawyers who will accurately interpret the network of relations arising from the mutual interaction of law and economy. Therefore, we aim to equip our students with the right tools to deal with the changing and developing circumstances of the global economy by offering courses in areas where the economic analysis of law is needed such as competition law, energy law, IT law, capital market law, finance law, maritime law, and insurance law.
While achieving these strategic goals, we adopt as a basic principle the implementation of national and international quality assurance systems and quality standards in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders in our process.

To become the leading law faculty in our country, and one of the leading law faculties in the world by combining the institutional reputation of Boğaziçi University and the perception of contemporary law education.
To be the pioneer of a dynamic law faculty that is open to innovations and change in parallel with the protection of universal principles of law.
To become a brand value in the field of law by providing legal education and research on a regional and global scale, as well as in our country, through international and national events.
To train competent lawyers who are highly equipped with respect to both the theoretical and practical aspects of law and can also take part in international institutions and organizations.
To expand the perspective of our students in line with the needs of the changing and transforming world through research centres and law workshops, with the awareness that academic knowledge will gain meaning with practice.
To ensure the establishment and operation of the necessary infrastructures for the measurement, evaluation, and improvement of institutional performance in a way that meets national and international quality standards.
