“International Law Journey” Successfully Completed

The International Law Journey, organised in collaboration with Boğaziçi University Faculty of Law, Istanbul University Faculty of Law, and Marmara University Faculty of Law, has successfully concluded.

Following a rigorous selection process and 12 weeks of intensive training in international law, 30 law students travelled to Strasbourg, Luxembourg, Paris, and The Hague from 1 to 10 September 2026. During the journey, they visited leading international institutions, including the European Court of Human Rights, the Court of Justice of the European Union, the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Court, and the International Chamber of Commerce, and had the opportunity to attend court hearings.

Prof. Dr. Ali Emrah Bozbayındır, Dean of our Faculty, contributed to the programme as an instructor, while Dr. Hasan Basri Bülbül, a faculty member, served as its Academic Coordinator. Six students from our Faculty also took part in the programme. As part of the journey, the students attended the hearings on the preliminary objections in the Nicaragua-Germany case before the International Court of Justice.

We would like to thank the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Presidency of Religious Affairs, and Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) for their valuable support to the programme.

The programme aimed to give young law students an opportunity to experience international law beyond the classroom, by observing the work of international courts and institutions first-hand.
